Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar donates ₹25 crores to fund to fight virus
Akshay Kumar gave PM-Cares 25 crores fund to fight the coronavirus.
Akshay Kumar announced on Saturday that he will donate 25 crores to the PM-Cares Fund to help the government in the fight against the coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic together with the government.
Writing on Twitter, Akshay Kumar said that the most important thing right now is to protect the lives of people.
His wife also praised Akshay Kumar’s move.
Twinkle Khanna said.“The man makes me proud. When I asked him if he was sure as it was such a massive amount and we needed to liquidate funds, he just said, ‘I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing,’”
South superstar Rajinikanth also came forward by donating 50 lakhs.
South superstars including Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, and others also donated money.
In Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan and Kapil Sharma also came forward to help.
